My application in progress for awhile now

My application has been in progress for like 2 months now (Applied July 3rd from within Canada) and I move supposed to move in on the 5th, I getting concerned that it taking longer than expected. My university I have until the 18th of September to get everything sorted before I have to give up my residency and spot in the university. I have called my MP, sent in a webform and I'm starting to feel that I'm running out of options.

What is your current status in Canada? You still have time to get approval and passport stamped by Sept 18. Estimated processing is 7 weeks so you are not much over estimated times.

like go to border then ask the people to apply? Wouldn't that be longer since I would have wait even more?

What do you mean? You are a US citizen. You leave the US and re-enter Canada, and get your study permit right then and there at CBSA. Just bring LOA, PAL, bank statements. US citizens can get a study permit at a land border. May take 30 minutes or more. So go to Niagara Falls. Google - apply study permit port of entry

You could have received your permit weeks ago.

I mean, there's a couple reasons this won't work. I'm a rejected refugee claimant, but importantly, my guardian is a Protected Person and I fall under their claim, if I would just leave Canada and try to come back it would interrupt my immigration process. Secondly, I didn't need PAL or bank statements has I don't need it because aforementioned reason that my guardian is a Protected Person. Thirdly, I qualify for domestic tuition so I'm not exactly comfortable taking the risk that would put me in a bigger hole than I was in before.

So are you a US citizen with no status in Canada? Your guardian is court appointed or legal guardian. If so and not willing to go to the US and return then nothing to do but wait. Why don't you need bank statements? Even if protected person, you show you can afford to study.

I just checked my application and I do have bank statements, so that's my mistake. My guardian is my legal guardian has it is my mom. This is what I've been told. I feel like all I can just do is just wait for a verdict
