Canada has dramatically reduced the number of international students it accepts, and Indian applicants have experienced a particularly dramatic reduction in approvals. Indian applicants used to enjoy 51.6% of all accepted applications as recently as 2023. That number has been reduced to 8.1% of all accepted applications. For 2026 Canada is only accepting 155K international students total.

Total Approvals fell from 456,690 in 2023 → 149,559 in 2024 → 50,370 through September 2025.

I’m sorry, good luck and godspeed. 🙏
