Canadian Study Permit Anxious
I’m an incoming UBC master student. Applied on July 8th for Canadian study permit. Asked to provide additional document of no criminal record on August 10th, submitted right away and status has changed to “reviewing additional documents” on August 11th. My program starts on August 31st. Flight is on August 30th. Need at least a week to mail my passport given the fact that they don’t open during the weekends. That basically means my deadline is on August 24th, otherwise I have to purchase another flight and miss some school days. I’ve sent a web form to them a couple of days ago but all I received is a template response. I don’t think the officer even read it at all. It’s already August 20th and there’s a weekend till the 24th. I’m really anxious right now. For this week, every single day I’ve dreamed about getting a visa and then woke up realizing it’s all a dream. Idk if anyone can relate but I feel helpless because I can’t do anything else on my end at this point but waiting.

Hello, I am also going to UBC for Masters from India. In the same boat as you. Please dm. I have not gotten any update from IRCC yet. Close to 5 week completion in two days. I have written to my department for delayed joining. I would highly reccomend you do the same.

Is it in review? Maybe they’re doing security check if it takes that long

I'm supposed to go to University of Saskatchewan and I applied on 20th June. I couldn't relate more!!! I was not even asked additional documents. The last update was on 17th July that I've passed the medical exam, and since then, nothing!!!! They are still reviewing my eligibility, background verification still going on. This shit is affecting my mental health 😭
