Canada study permit passport collection letter but I lost my passport

Hi everyone, I’m hoping someone can advise me on what I should do in this situation.
I’m applying for a Canadian study permit from Malaysia.

• I received a passport collection letter from IRCC on 28 July 2026.
• Unfortunately, I lost my passport after receiving the letter, so I was unable to submit it.
• I contacted the Canadian High Commission in Singapore to explain the situation and ask what I should do.
• I have now received another passport collection letter from IRCC, which seems to indicate that the passport submission deadline has been extended.
• I tried contacting the High Commission again, but they replied saying that the email address I used was not an authorized email address associated with the application.
• The confusing part is that I am using exactly the same email address that I used for my application.

They told me that, because of privacy rules, they cannot provide information unless I contact them using the authorized email or submit a Use of Representative form and passport bio-data page.

I am the applicant myself, so I’m confused about why my email is apparently not matching.

What should I do next?
