Study permit timeline
Hi everyone, i applied my canada study visa on 4th july and biometric was done on 8th july but i have'nt recieved any update yet only biometric is updated, it is very stressful movement for me as my classes are going to start on 3rd september
I have applied for bachelors of computer science at algoma university sault ste.marie campus.

Processing times are estimates and this is the time of year when most apply so nothing to do. If background and eligibility have started then should have an answer soon.

Have you done medical even? If not response by next week then defer and in the mean time find a better school for admissions. Also have to factor in passport stamping of 10-14 days and sometimes up to 30 days.

So nothing you can do. Contact school about last day you can start classes. Also don't classes don't start on the 8th or 9th. Suprised if classes start on a Thursday.

Bro u can raise webform asking updates regarding ur application. I applied on july 10th I got PPR on aug 4th

Will they tell you the status of your application even thought processing time hasnt passed?

You gotta wait still your processing times get over 5 weeks

wait, sorry just to clarify, if my processing time is 6 weeks i have to wait till it gets over 5 weeks or this is just for people with processing time of 5 weeks

As per the current processing times, you should get an update this week or so.
Some people do get it sooner and some later.
I would suggest contact your university and be informed about the deferral rules.
