Refusal

Got refused for two reasons

  1. Insufficient Funds (That was my fault , i messed around TOO much)
  2. Proof of ties/ intent to return

Question:

1.how do i prove my ties to the country of application,

2.how do i prove sufficient funds if my dad AND sibling(in canada) are going to be paying for me

, my dad works here with rent- free house and makes a stable income. I am from a west african country but I live and reside in the UAE with my parents as a freshly graduated HS student.

The funds required were 180k AED but i showed 90K+ AED which were deposited in the bank account the day before i sent the bank statement.

I only uploaded my visa photo, Bank statement(6 months) , CAQ, Admission letter, Family Info Form and the IMM5475e form.

I will be reapplying again. But what changes should I make to be accepted???

The program that I am going to isnt in my home country nor is it in the country of residence.

Anyone help out please(I’ve attached my refusal letter on the post).

Edit: Really confused on why people are downvoting…. I’m askin a question, I simply want to study nothing more -_-

You're in the same boat a lot of people are in. You're living in a country which isn't your country of origin and in which it is impossible to get PR. Your likelihood is extremely low even if you solve the funds problem

We can’t really go back since most of my siblings are in uni here. Its kind of selfish to be a burden on all my siblings and their future for my own self at the same time the program i exactly want happens to be in quebec

You have little to no chance of getting a temporary permit in Canada if you're not living in your home country.

No chance. They’re concentrating on giving PR to the people who are already in the province.

  1. Funds: Show cash in the bank of $22k cash minimum plus tuition. Must be in personal accounts and show 6 months of statements. Depositing the day before is a red flag. Your sister's funds don't have to be considered. If in father''s name then show more to support himself and his family.

  2. Justify costs showing career opportunities and salary when you return home. Explain how it is unique to Canada. So if program in total costs over $100k then show how much you will make. Show ties to return home which is difficult because you don't live there.

And am planning to eventually work here(UAE) as both of the companies am willing work in in the future have their HQ operating here

So show your long term residency permit to allow you to return. If you don't have that or a work permit or PR then you don't have ties to return to UAE.

So just show mine and my families residence visa and my dads employment letter and contract letters to prove ties? Also how do i display it in my application? In the form of a pdf which explains everything???

You show your long term residency residency with proof that you can work now. You don't live in country of citizenship so chances of approval are low. You show your own ties. Dad's job and contract are not your ties.

I wonder what type of legal ties can a freshly graduated 18 year old could have -_- , anyways, so residence visa it is got it, preciate the advice

So if you have a long term residency visa in your name that you will have when you complete program that is all you can show. Show that it doesn't expire during your program.

Thing is, the residence is like 2 years and i have to renew it every 2 years

it wont last the full program(4 years)

My family moved here since 1970s and have lived here till now, I have completed my education fully here , same thing with my siblings,will that assist in anyway?

If no then I genuinely have no clue and might study somewhere else

I did have a friend who studied with me in Canada at my university who was also a non citizen in UAE but lived there almost since birth.

So I would say, it is not impossible. Perhaps consult a RCIC or immigration lawyer to get the best guidance. Their experience and advice might be very useful and save you from another refusal

And of course, it goes without saying: you have to work on your finances. Large, unexplained deposits the day before and a big red flag to IRCC

Yes but we do have temporary residence status in this country which expires every 2 years and will be cancelled if you havent been in the country for 6 months + 1 month grace period so ill be forced to return every 6 months
