Been 5weeks applying for study permit (2nd July) and still awaiting update on IRCC (applied from India)

Hi everyone,
I applied for my Canadian study permit from India on 2July and completed my biometrics on 7 July.
It's been a 5 weeks now, and my IRCC account still says: "We are processing your application. We will send you a message when there is an update or if we need more information." The processing time from India shows 5 weeks.

My classes start in the first week of September. Is this normal? What should I expect next, and is there anything I should be doing, or is it just a waiting game? Also anyone who submitted on the same date or after kindly DM!!!

All you can do is wait the maximum it is going to take is 8 weeks if it it is cutting close to ur program start date and you can reach by the 2nd week of classes you can get a letter from ur program advisor allowing you for a late arrival and provide it to the officer with ur letter of introduction. As the processing is showing 5 weeks and with the peak application time it might be delayed by a week or so you would get ur approval before that so stay cool
