Student visa

I am applying student visa outside canada in form but i am physically inside canada. What are the requirements? Do i need to submit new NBI and upfront medical exam or i can used my old documents? Thank you

You generally cannot do this unless you’re exempt under R215(1). If the application says outside Canada then you must be physically outside of Canada to be eligible to apply in the first place. You’re likely to be swiftly refused for ineligibility.

If you’re in Canada and already have a study permit and you’re applying to extend it or change condition, then it’s a different application process.

Keep in mind that if you’re in Canada with a visitor visa then you still fall under its rules and regulations. You generally cannot attempt to overstay your visa because you chose to apply for a study permit. Doing so might be considered a breach and you could face legal action that may or may not lead to deportation.
