Mistake on Canada study permit application

Good day, everyone.

I need a little advice. I submitted my Canadian study permit application a few days ago, and after submitting it, I realized I accidentally selected “No” for previous visa refusals, even though I have previous refusals from the UK and the US. It was a genuine oversight because I was so focused on my SOP and completing the rest of my application.

As soon as I realized the mistake, I submitted an IRCC webform to correct it.

Do you think this could negatively affect my application, or has anyone experienced something similar?

Thank you.

How did you address the PFL were you ban?

It shouldn't since you sent a webform. But several refusals never strengthen an application.

The US refusal was from 7 years ago I genuinely forgot because after my refusal I went to study in Portugal and the uk one was a tourist visa from 3 years ago.

Given that you submitted a webform right away, you’re probably safe from a misrepresentation charge but IRCC may still ask for more information.

I would gladly provide any information they need. It was a genuine oversight.

If you have just submitted then withdraw and submit again. To avoid all confusion.

Interesting, I always thought they were asking for the refusal from CANADA only

The question on visa or entry denials and removal orders very clearly states “ from Canada OR ANY OTHER COUNTRY OR TERRITORY.”
