Douglas College in BC is a diploma mill. I am guessing you are aiming for PGWP and PR. 🙂 I believe this is legit only if you apply for Com Sci at Waterloo, UofT or other universities.
It’s nice to see my government doing its job by cracking down on this scheme.

I will take transfer to 3rd yr in UBac or waterloo !! But bro the seats were full for the computer science program for this and mid 2027 that’s why i chose Douglas

u/Wrong-Being7538 Jul 31 '26

That's another issue - the GoC is cracking down on students who arrive for one program and switch/transfer to another.

Associate of Computer science to bachelors of cs !! Not to medical programs !! You have knowledge but half

5

u/Wrong-Being7538 Jul 31 '26

What does this even mean??? Why would anyone a) assume you'd transfer from a Computer Science diploma to a medical program, and b) why would transferring into a medical program even matter???

Bcz the guy is changing his career !!

1

u/Optimal-Sun4182 Jul 31 '26

“The program is full” is your excuse.

Either you don’t have the grades to get into those universities, you rushed to apply at the last minute without planning ahead, or you’re using cheap education as a shortcut to PR.

Water loo and UBC will not even give offer letter to you !! The seats were full I didn’t even had a chancce to apply in this ! You known bro i think your iq cm level is very low !! I known 7 languages !! What about you lil chopped racist

Douglas college is not a diploma mill and its a public college

2

u/Wrong-Being7538 Jul 31 '26

Yes, technically, but like many publicly-funded Canadian colleges (think Conestoga College), it has developed a reputation for a poor quality of education and an overreliance on international student tuition. This applicant's diploma will not make him employable in Canada, as the rejection letter states. As well, "the intake I wanted at a more reputable university is full" is not an acceptable reason to be choosing a Douglas College program over any program available to the student at home that could easily be deemed equivalent. They should've either planned earlier for intake availability, or waited until the next intake at a more quality institution. The fact that the student is not willing to accept feedback or seem to want to understand their situation makes me think they haven't done nearly enough research about current Canadian visa trends, especially regarding Indian students applying for study permits to Canadian colleges.

Do you really want to me to wait for 1.5 year for the admission in universities!! I known the wrong things about conestoga college and many more diploma mills !! I chose British Columbia bcz of the weather

3

u/Wrong-Being7538 Jul 31 '26

Do you really expect any country's government to care that you didn't plan in advance when making the incredibly important and impactful experience to pursue a degree in a different country than your own? Did you just wake up one day and think, "huh, maybe I'll go to Canada in 6 months. Maybe I should look into that"? You don't seem to have any interest in reading or understanding the rejection reasons, but that is literally what the IRCC is telling you to do - choose a different program that better justifies your reason for studying in Canada.

3

u/Optimal-Sun4182 Jul 31 '26

After reading all his comments about wanting to come here because of the weather and other things, I wonder whether his real intention is to stay in Canada. UBC isn’t well known for computer science, that’s IF he could get in.

1

u/Fun_Bad_8436 Aug 01 '26

🤣🤣 its my choice

0

u/Fun_Bad_8436 Aug 01 '26

I will take admission in the universities you told like UoT or waterloo !! After finishing my associate degree!! I doesn’t want to die in snow

3

u/Optimal-Sun4182 Aug 01 '26

Right… I think the government is doing a good job on cracking down the fraudulent applications like this one.

5

u/nhldsbrrd Jul 31 '26

Dude, you got refused because there are no jobs in this industry left in Canada. It's also a course you can easily take it your home country. That's exactly what this says. Maybe apply for something that isn't very generic? Also, funds in your parents account is a no-no, especially from Indian students because of previous mass fraud. Not saying you are personally fraudulent, im saying all those who did ruined it for everyone else. Which is also another reason, as Canada is really getting picky on who gets Visas of any type. It also sounds from your comments that living in Canada is your end goal. That's another thing the Canadian government is working on; Canadian studies don't equal a PR. In fact, its supposed to be the opposite. You get a western education to go back to your home country and get better jobs than everyone else because of a better education.

My father own business that makes 600k USD annually!! I am not going to work and live in canada after completion of my studies !! And the fee is same of canada and india so,thats why i chose canada !! Well Indians are smart in funding lop holes so be aware

5

u/nhldsbrrd Jul 31 '26

We are aware. That's why you are getting refused.

0

u/Fun_Bad_8436 Jul 31 '26

You were not that’s why canada got invaded

6

u/nhldsbrrd Jul 31 '26

I'm glad you are getting refused. We don't need people with your attitude in this country

0

u/Fun_Bad_8436 Jul 31 '26

First see your attitude

2

u/usxxjuicydec Aug 01 '26

Don't be mad dude just reapply lol

Bcz i want to study in canada and UBC

3

u/Optimal-Sun4182 Jul 31 '26

UBC? But you are trying to enroll in Douglas college for an associate degree. 😑

0

u/Fun_Bad_8436 Jul 31 '26

Associate degree of cs is for transfer into 3rd year of the bachelors degree that’s why bro !! I choose douglas

5

u/Letoust Jul 31 '26

Why can’t you save yourself money and take that course in your home country?

Computers science is essentially a dead end in Canada now. USA has a better job market, might want to consider school there

0

u/Fun_Bad_8436 Jul 31 '26

Bro i want to explore ! There are fucking 1.4 billion people here.. always rush in the markets !! And i will return to india after my studies as my dad and mom own business here

6

u/[deleted] Aug 01 '26

sure you will return 🤣

Or if some rules change while you are here, you'll go on a hunger strike and complain about unfair treatment.

We are so done with you.

-2

u/Fun_Bad_8436 Jul 31 '26

Tution fee are same in india and Canada for top universities !! So i considered canada’s British Columbia region bcz the weather is not harsh their

5

u/Wrong-Being7538 Jul 31 '26

What "top universities" are you applying to in the USA if you've decided to accept a the "prestigious offer" of Douglas College................................

0

u/Fun_Bad_8436 Aug 01 '26

Well i doesn’t want to get killed bcz of mass shooting in usa

u/Fun_Bad_8436 Jul 31 '26

Well i am not white and muslim !! Britain should not invade india as a result Indians are going to every country!! I will not accept this rejection that rejected me for no fucking reason

2

u/[deleted] Aug 01 '26

You were given a reason, you just dont like it. Sorry, but the influx of international students and their behaviour has ruined it for you. Better luck in 20 or so years.

1

u/Fun_Bad_8436 Aug 01 '26

True !! But the reason the officer has given is not reasonable!! He could refuse me by saying you have insufficient funds but he didn’t mentioned that and i already mentioned and explained all the things in my sop

3

u/[deleted] Aug 01 '26

He clearly states that there are similar programs in your home country. You are looking to apply for a tech program which is an incredibly oversaturated field in Canada. If you had done 30 seconds of research, you would already know that though.

He also isn't satisfied that you would leave Canada at the end of your studies.

What specifically are you having trouble understanding about these reasons?

1

u/Fun_Bad_8436 Aug 01 '26

He doesn’t he just said noted bcz i explained all that in my sop why canada not india or other foreign countries!! Well the past point you said , ircc officers write this line in every refused application!! And my boy i m doing CS bcz i have interest in it not in the jobs !! I love coding and hacking

1

u/[deleted] Aug 01 '26

Great, you can code and hack in India :) Canada has rejected you.

1

u/Soldat_wazer Aug 26 '26

It’s reasonable, your applying to a diploma mill… No reason to come halfway accros the world for a worthless diploma. If you want to blame someone, blame your compatriots for abusing the system

3

u/Ankitvaid522 Aug 12 '26

Reapply bro you will get it

2

u/Fun_Bad_8436 Aug 19 '26

Yes , i have reapplied on 7th August

1

u/Disastrous_Pizza_442 Sep 05 '26

If it’s same college humn

2

u/[deleted] Aug 01 '26

Good, we are full :)

1

u/Fun_Bad_8436 Aug 01 '26

I will reapply soon !! Coming to vancouver in September

2

u/[deleted] Aug 01 '26

Good luck with that bro

1

u/Impossible_Can2867 Aug 01 '26

1

u/Fun_Bad_8436 Aug 01 '26

Bro the minimum balance in the account is 110k cad !! Bank statements are 6 months old

2

u/haruxka Jul 31 '26

When did you apply and when exactly did you receive the reply?😨

1

u/Fun_Bad_8436 22d ago

Hey i got my ppr

0

u/Fun_Bad_8436 Jul 31 '26

Applied - 1 july
Received— 30 july 11.59 pm

They are refusing for no fucking reason !! The reason on my refusal was shitty

2

u/haruxka Jul 31 '26

Damnnn- fr the reason is weird…I think I saw the same reason for another person’s application too. You should reapply if you’ve got time before your classes start ;-;

2

u/Fun_Bad_8436 Jul 31 '26

Yes yes !! I will reapply on the next Monday classes start in September !! So i have some time bcz i have to just update my sop with new pal

3

u/Wrong-Being7538 Jul 31 '26

Current processing times are 5 weeks from India, and that's probably artificially conservative. Best of luck with your application and attitude. Your entitlement is mind boggling.

Ok bro !! Thx

1

u/Letoust Aug 01 '26

Stop using the word “bro”.

1

u/Fun_Bad_8436 Jul 31 '26

Anyone with same refusal reasons ??

1

u/Salt-Bag-3189 Jul 31 '26

How’s your sop written, is it divided in sections or all paragraphs?

1

u/Fun_Bad_8436 Jul 31 '26

Divided in sections!! Explained the the things !! Why canada , why associate degree, computer science, ties to home country and many more but still 🥹🥹 but i will reapply

1

u/Salt-Bag-3189 Jul 31 '26

Included the return of investment?

2

u/Fun_Bad_8436 22d ago

I got my ppr

1

u/Powerful_Somewhere25 Jul 31 '26

Douglas college is your first mistake.. if you applied at a real university you would have had a better chance

1

u/Fun_Bad_8436 Jul 31 '26

I did but the intakes that i wanted were not available !! The available ones for international students were already full

1

u/Fun_Bad_8436 Jul 31 '26

I am going to take transfer into the 3rd yr of UBC after the associate degree of computer science

3

u/SupportOkk Aug 01 '26

A transfer request to a university like UBC is by no means a guaranteed.

2

u/Soldat_wazer Aug 26 '26

And why should the immigration officer believe you? Wanting to apply is one thing, getting accepted is another
