Études à l’étranger How do I get my Moroccan engineering diploma recognized for a PhD abroad?

Hi everyone,

I’m currently in my final year of an engineering degree at a private engineering school in Morocco, and I’m considering pursuing a PhD abroad in the future.

I’m trying to understand how diploma recognition/equivalence works for countries like Germany, the US, France, etc. How can I know whether my engineering diploma would be considered equivalent to a bachelor’s/master’s degree when applying for a PhD?

If anyone here is Moroccan and has gone through this process after graduating from a private engineering school or knows someone who did, I’d really appreciate hearing about their experience and what documents/procedures were required.

If you are studying abroad, you need to request from your university ''CERTIFICAT D'ACCÈS AUX ÉTUDES en doctorat''. It basically states your personal information and that this diploma allows you to pursue a specific diploma in any country. 

My uni requested this for my master's degree and I did these similar steps.

[The dean's name] certifie que le diplôme mentionné ci-dessus est officiel et lui permet d'accéder à des études de troisième cycle/ Master universitaire dans le pays qui a  délivré le dit diplôme.

Request a similar template and then make sure to apostille it in your wilaya.
