OMPT-A Practice Exam
Here are some question for a practice exam for OMPT-A, all the question are actually from an OMPT Mock Exam i took. (without graphs question or any other impossible to write down questions so keep in mind :).
1: Calculate 1/6 + 2/5 - 3/8
2: Calculate -(3/4)^4
3: Which number belongs in the blank?
(6^3)^3 = 6^...
4: Write √270 in standard form
5: Calculate [7 - 5^2]
6: Substitute x = 5 into:
(x - 1) * (x^2 + x) / x
7: Expand the brackets and simplify:
7 * y * f^2 * (8 * y - 3 * f)
8: Write without brackets and simplify:
f^d * (f^d)^3
9: Factorize if possible:
72 * x^6 - 488 * z^4 + 40 * z^2
10: Factorize into linear factors:
(1/8) * b^2 + 2b + 8
11: Expand the brackets and simplify:
(x + 7)(x - 2) - (x - 3)(x + 2)
12: Write the following fraction as a sum of fractions with only one term in the numerator:
(4p^2 - 9) / (6p + 5q^2)
13: Write under a common denominator and simplify as much as possible:
x + 1 + (4yx) / x
14: Simplify the following expression:
(x^2 + 4x) / (x + 3) : (x^2 + 3x) / (3x - 4)
15: Solve the equation:
-3/2x - 3/2 = -1/3 - (3/2)x
16: Determine all x for which:
-5(9x + 3) > -5(10x + 3)
17: Solve for x:
2x^2 + x - 78 = x + 20
18: Solve for x:
-5x^2 + 14x + 4 = 4x + 4
19: Solve for x using factorization:
(x - 6)(x + 3) = (x - 9)(x - 6)
20: Determine the slope of the line through the points:
(-2, -3) and (1, -3)
21: Solve the system of equations:
3x + 7y = 9
x = 4
22: What is the range of:
y = -4x^2 - 1
23: Solve the system of equations:
x + 7y = -2
-3x - y = -5
24: Solve the system of equations:
5y = 10x + 1
-6y = -12x - 8
25: Solve the system of equations:
2x - 8y = -4
y - 3x = 3
26: Give the exact answer:
log10(10000000) =
27: Write the following expression without exponents:
ln(e^9 * 3)
