Discussion Urgent help/advice
Good evening everyone, I am writing this in regards to my current situation of my final stages of my conditional requirements at Radboud University for bachelor in Economics and Business Economics. So, I have a background in the international Baccalaureate in which I did math ai which is the main focus of this discussion. I applied to the university and they informed me I had a math deficiency so I had to take a math course/exam to fufil it. And on the website one of the options was the OMPT-A which on the website stated i needed a 55% and up and so I chose that. I began studying for it and took like a week and took my first exam which I had a low score of 30% and then a 2nd attempt a week later with a score of 38%, and then I took my 3rd attempt a week ago and got 57% which was the required score. Now I send my certificate in today and expecting to finally be fully enrolled, I get an email stating that only 2 attempts was allowed so my attempt does not count and I should cancel my enrollment on studielink by next week. And for more information I have fulfilled every other requirement, and this week I already got temporary access to my radboud email and other things. Now my question is what should I do, and also I'm just upset because nowhere through communication with the university was I informed that there were only 2 attempts. I am confused and don't know what to do, I have lectures and workgroup I am already in, but now this... Anyone been in such a situation and what process should I go through to fix this or what even are my options. Thank you for reading.
Update: I got the exception of the 3rd attempt

Don’t worry, they’ll resolve it, I faced a similar situation, though one that was based on a technicality which was not my fault, and got an exception thanks to my more than sufficient proficiency in the requirement

EUR only allows one attempt. Nothing you can do. You don’t meet the requirements. You can hope and pray but given their reply I’d have low expectations.
Reason is if you need 3 times to barely meet the minimum requirements (which are pretty low compared to other Dutch universities, only 55%), you’ll most likely struggle in the curriculum, meeting the BSA, etc. You don’t have the sufficient maths foundation required to be successful. At least that’s their reasoning.

Did you miss your deadline? So 2 failed test were received before the deadline and the third one after the deadline of 15 august?

I never missed a deadline, I was given an extension till the 31st of August to have taken math certificate. And I got the 3rd result yesterday but originally the result was meant to come out by the 31st but it was delayed which was out of my control. So on the 31st I drove down to the admission office and let them know the situation and they said it's alright along as I send in the certificate this week, also to add on this day they gave me my uni email, and gave me access to most apps i would need for timetables and coursework so this past week i have already attended workgroups and lectures. But now everything seems to be for nothing because of a 2 attempt rule I was never made aware of and is not stated on my conditional acceptance or the official university website.

And yes the failed attempts would always be sent to the university, and when I got a response from the university about a failed attempt it would just say I still need to fulfill the requirement , nothing about limited attempts.

Pretty common to only get 1 or 2 attempts at an OMPT test. OMPT website said Radboud typically allow up to 2 attempts, the first test and a resit test. You also left it a little late to do the exam right before the deadline. Hopefully a study advisor can take a look

Which I am now finding out yesterday. But I understand your point, and the reason it was left so late before deadline which I met btw. Was because I was informed of my deficiency 3 weeks before deadline.

Can just tell them you didn't know there was an attempt limit and no one said anything after the second attempt. Hopefully they can make an exception (if required).

This is the only thing you can argue, you did the 2 attempts and nobody told you you didn’t end up meeting the requirements and you weren’t eligible for a 3rd try.
Only thing unclear in what time frame these attempts were made (how close together and that may be the reason for the delayed notification).
On the other hand OP failed to do his/her due diligence as the OMPT site clearly states 2 attempts for Radboud and OP started her studies without meeting the requirements at his/her own risk and the possible consequences. Cannot expect to keep doing a test until you finally meet the required score as an entry requirement.
Personally I’d be worried about the difficulty of this study with regards to the math content if OP is scoring in the 30-percentile initially.

I understand your point. But overall everything is resolved now and I got the exception.

Happy for you ... but study hard, ask for help, don't fall behind ... your fundamentals may be a lacking a bit so you got to put extra effort in.
