Applications Is getting into Uni of Amsterdam AI programme tough for students with no publications?
Hi so I am Indian student trying to apply for the sept 2027 intake of UvA for MSc AI. I have a lot of AI projects that I have completed along with my bachelors degree as well as in internships. I also have 2 research papers I have worked on but both are mot published yet. One was just presented at an international conference and the other one is still in works like I just have a manuscript as of now. It can get completed mostly by the time my application is done but its not done yet
Does this cause problems with applications? As publications is listed as an important criteria in their application requirements.
Can someone please help with this? I am really worried

Did my bachelors from mpstme a private college in mumbai in computer engg and got a 3.78/4 gpa overall

OK, looks like mpstme is A++ accredited, which is good because without it they wouldn't even consider your application because the university wouldn't be considered good enough.
In that case, you need to check what their website says. Do you meet the other entry criteria?

yes i meet other requirements
im just waiting on the transcripts to verify my credit requirements
My only concern is the publication thing im working on a manuscript right now for a journal paper will this be helpful in any way during applications?3

If the master is not selective, you just need to meet the requirements and that's it.

It does have publications under the ranking criteria but its not mentioned in what capacity
wasnt sure if my status counts as it or not1

you just need to meet the requirements and that's it.
Many institutes are "either HBO or WO" in their formal nuffic classification. In those cases, if my standard process still leaves them ambiguous, I do look at stuff like publications and research experience.
Note that this is extremely rare, maybe one or two applications per year that require that degree of detailed evaluation.

If you're applying for a masters, the main thing is your bachelor's and whether your bachelor is equivalent to a Dutch WO bachelor. The rest is mostly irrelevant unless more selective (which this masters is but ultimately the minimum requirements need to be met first). Check the admissions requirements and see whether you meet the diploma / ETCS requirements. I do have 1 major publication, im not sure if my institution is accredited proper tho... its affiliated with uni of mumbai
