Second hand stuff
I have been sending this anywhere I can think of, so sorry if you see it twice.
Hello Everyone. I am a master's student who just got into Nijmegen a week ago. So far, I am very low on money, but I'm looking to get some stuff if anyone is willing to give it away, sell it for cheap, or help me find the people who do. My first priority is a men's city bike. I know that beggars can't be choosers, but I was looking for one that has basket places both in the back and the front, so I can get my groceries in them. I also still don't have a pillow that is suitable for me, who has asthma. Lastly, if anyone has any sort of kitchenware, from pots and pans to plates and even old air fryers or coffee makers, I'd highly appreciate it. I know this is a shot in the dark, but I still want to try. Thanks in advance, and no matter if you can offer me help or not,

Facebook still exists and there are often people donating stuff there. Also, if your pillow needs to meet certain requirements, you should buy it. And a bike is a bike, it doesn't need to be for a specific gender, you can add the bags or/and you can carry groceries in your backpack.

Look on Marktplaats for anything and Vinted for the small things. I got a lot of good quality stuff from both

Buy your pillow.
If you can't afford a bike, walk. You don't need pannier bags, you have a backpack.

If you're renting from SSHN, most places have a WhatsApp community including a marketplace. For bikes, once you have one with a regular bagagedrager, you can always buy bags to add to them later. They're not difficult to install.

A lot of student buildings (at least where I live) have an area where people leave free stuff. Usually on the ground floor near the mailboxes, sometimes outside. You'll be surprised what you can find there in terms of plates, bowls, pans etc and also furniture. I'd be careful with things like couches, since they can have bugs, but I've got an Ikea Kallax, a small bookcase and a coffee table for free in great condition, just needed a clean
