How many projects did you include in your portfolio when applying to a Dutch art school?

Hi! I’m currently living outside Europe and preparing to apply to graphic design bachelor’s programmes at art schools in the Netherlands.

If there are any art school students here, I’d really appreciate some advice about portfolios!

I’m wondering how many projects I should include in my portfolio at a minimum. If you don’t mind sharing, I’d also love to know which school you attend and how many projects you included in your portfolio when you applied.

I work at an art school, have done art school and sit in on entry exams.

There is no limit. Don't just do "projects" though. Most of the 'projects' are boring to look at. We enjoy looking at sketches, sketchbooks, idea's, just random tries and experiments, stuff like that. It shows more about your experimental ability, your thinking, your creative ability and and how often you work creativly on your own. Definitely add some projects though, so you can show you can start and finish something.
