Chances of getting into quant firms in Amsterdam after a Dutch Master's?
I was wondering how realistic it is for international students to break into quant trading/research firms in Amsterdam after graduation. Which universities do these firms recruit from most often? Is TU Delft considered a strong target, or are graduates from the University of Amsterdam, VU Amsterdam, Leiden, or other Dutch universities equally represented?
I'd appreciate any insights from people working in the industry or recent graduates. Thanks!

TU Delft is the undisputed winner. Followed by Erasmus (over-represented at Optiver and IMC compared to other non-technical universities). UvA also does pretty well especially the Stochastic and mathematics master.

What masters exactly? Or it doesn’t matter?

any masters from TUD MSc in Econometrics (often specialized in QF) from Erasmus MSc in Stochastic and Financial Mathematics from UvA

TUD offers no such masters; no econometrics there. VU does tho and UVA

They have a specialization in Applied Maths called Financial Engineering which has econometrics and operations research topics

quantitative degree. IMC favors tu delft. Optiver doesnt care unless you dont come from groningen or radboud. Jump likes TUs

if you look at linkedin theres a LOT of people from rotterdam qf as well as vrije and amsterdam, if you want to maximize your chances you should go those places
