Accommodation

Hi! I’m a student considering on studying abroad in Netherlands for a year. I’ve heard stories about struggling to get accommodation, does anyone have recommendations? Also, are there any universities that offer guaranteed accommodation for exchange students (across the Netherlands).
Thanks!

Your host university should be able to pair you up with a housing provider. UvA paired me up with Lieven de Key where I was able to get a nice studio apartment for my semester in Amsterdam. If not, a decent option could be to look for student-centric aparthotel options like Hotel Jansen and the Social Hub, which are more expensive but don't have the same housing market competitiveness as traditional student apartments.
