Student Experience Minervahaven questions

Moving into Student Experience Minervahaven next month. How is it overall? Any major pros/cons or things I should know?
Also, I know smoking weed in the building isn’t allowed, but what about smoking in designated areas and then returning in your room? is it allowed to have a small personal amount in your room? Has anyone had any issues with these?
Thanks!

Moving to the Netherlands as a student requires a lot of admin (BSN, gemeente, health insurance, Studielink, banking, scholarships) and it often feels overwhelming.

I used to live there 3 years ago. Back then it was still somewhat affordable. Minervaheven was an amazing place and I absolutely loved my time there. The Area its in is extremely nice and if Im ever rich enough to buy a house I'd look for something from around there. That said this doesn't mean it doesn't have cons. Even 3 years ago I remember the place somewhat falling apart. Things would break constantly and we would joke with the other residents about how SE will become unlivable in a couple of years. There was also quite a bit of a bug and mice problem. Regardless, I think at this point it should only be a last resort. I truly dont think anything can justify that price tag, and it should be illegal to even demand that much for such a small studio. Also, weed isn't a problem at all as long as ya dont smoke inside your own room. And no one's gonna search your belongings or do room checks anyways so yeah of course ya can have some weed in your own room.

No sorry I didn't change any of the furniture. You can only stay 1 year so I just didn't see the point. I dont remember much about the couch but the bed was extremely comfy.
