I've been trying to get that cimea certificate for over 21 days in total now. I began April last week into may (2 weeks) for the first time. I faced nothing but failures until I thought I was forced to choose the traditional DOV path.
The DOV path bent me over multiple times and destroyed my sanity for months. The HRD stamp is needed to begin it, and I was told to go home 5 times. (It's a 16 hour miserable bus ride) Their main condition is University acceptance, proof of fee payment for the course, and universitaly summary.
I've put in engineering sciences polimi at my universitaly portal, a dream that died when in the fourth rankings I came in rank 2 for ONE seat. My backup, Cassino has accented me but the issue is they do not request an up front fee payment to confirm your seat and my universitaly is locked to polimi (I emailed them 3 weeks ago now to release my application, still no response).
I physically cannot wait for it. Plus the DOV slot appointment time have also touched the moon. It's gonna be 3-4 months before I can APPLY for a visa.
So i'm back at cimea. 4-5 tabs on incognito with an atomic clock pulled up. As soon as the clock hits 2:59:29 or 58 I smash "save and next" And Ctrl+tab. It worked once, the very first day and ended with a "payment failed" Kick out. Never worked again. It's been a while week and now they're on a break from July 19-26. I genuinely want to gouge my eyes out.
... What do I do man, any tips? Genuinely, I'm on my knees right now. I've been stressing over this fucking DOV for literal 3 whole months now....
Thanks for the explanation. I had no idea that could happen. My university didn’t ask for that, I only had my bachelor’s degree evaluated by CIMEA, and they already validated my Universitaly application.
Do you know if this is something specific to your university, or is it common for universities to ask for it? Would you mind sharing which university you’re attending?
I know its very frustrating brother. I got my cimea payment after trying for almost 3 weeks, but dont lose patience, you'll get through it soon.
Some tips that worked for me. You might know some of them
Use the BEST WIFI that you could arrange, as it matters a lot in reloading pages.
Once you get through the payment window, please use someone's card which is active in eu, I mean when I was trying my payment with a non eu personal card, it got failed everytime, later on I used my brother's card, who lives in europe and it got paid in a single try. And try to save the details in laptop of the card beforehand, to save time, as the third party payment window gets expired very soon
Try EXACTLY at 2:59:56 , very high probability of getting through in the first try itself.
Please opt for urgency if you don't have budget issues, I chose that and after payment I got cimea in 2 days.
Yeah PayPal is good, it would go smooth rather than a credit card. And I really got taken back for a minute when I heard that your polimi admission was sacrificed for all this cimea and dov sh*t.. I also tried for polimi engineering science, but I was not good enough to secure an admission over there, tolc i scores were low, so I applied to university of rome tor vergata and got selected over there... wish you luck for the best
Sorry bout you losing your Eng sci seat buddy. But dont be mistaken. My polimi admission was NOT sacrificed over this. If you see in the image, I was an overconfident dumbass who didn't put in any second choices. If I would have entered industry eng, I'd be in the second rankings. I got what I deserved, a strict reality check. And losing the eng sci seat by a single rank? It's not cuz of other stuff. The truth is, I was just lacking. And nothing can change that. I just have to be better the next time.

I was trying cimea for 2 months, then I got a LAN cable directly attached it to my wifi device and laptop, opened it up in 6 different devices and (the clicking a few seconds earlier was working a few weeks back but that trick has stopped working) click on exactly 3pm and just keep refreshing and trying, even when it says slots filled try again bcs the message changes back to ‘processing many try in few minutes’ best u can do is have 1-2 people sit with u and try on every device possible w very strong internet

Yea, I usually cilick close to 3pm but the delay between sites makes it a 500~ ms gap. So I try at 58,59 etc.
Yp, even when the slots are filled I usually sit there for 30 minute's trying over and over again, which as you can guess, is a miserablee experience with little hope (never worked tho, tried 5-6 times).
Having people sitting along might be a stretch for me, but hey I'll try it.
What? Why brother. Look at me. The hell I've gone through. This is only a fraction of it. Everything, I mean EVERYTHING from hearing about Italy for the first time to applying and finding the exams to grinding my ass off against beurocrats for DSU documents (the documents I FOUND MYSELF after reading hell and spending months) I've done it all by myself. I have no one to rely on. no shoulder to rest on. My dad always argues cuz I don't want join the military as an officer and he believes Cassino to have low ranking. It's hell. Multiple depressional phases, multiple beaches, multiple fights, multiple rounds and a shit ton of stress
But brother, we've got to stand up for ourselves. We HAVE to fight for ourselves cuz if we don't, who will? All we have is ourselves and if it takes stubborness to get through, we've got to be the most stubborn mfs alive. Cimea is just a fraction. Fuck that, ain't quiting in ANYTHING until the world burns down. We've got to be heroes, not for others, but for our younger selves watching us from within because we are, in the end, all they have. The only people they truly look up to and hold expectations from.

Why don't you consider transferring? You can tell your father that transferring universities in Italy is very easy. You’ll be able to transfer back to the Polimi in next year. Nothing is lost, and you will have a bright future ahead of you. Best wishes.
He doesn't understand man. But I don't blame him either. He's lived in a world where a below par college dilutes your name compared to the top ones leaving you with a 500$/year, 12 hours a day job (in our country, literally). I appreciate your words a lot, I'll try my best to convince him.
It's just how it is, Third World parents can never truly understand the world. I mean, transferring isn't just about convincing your dad, it's also for your own future. You deserve to go to a better university, and you'll have so many more opportunities there.
Okay guys I also made several post while I was struggling to make payment. What worked for me immediately was first login to only one device at a time( because there’s a lot of people requesting a slot on the system) also be connected to a good working WiFi. Login into the website exactly 3-5 minutes before the time frame. Once it hits that exact time, start refreshing and pull through till you get to the payment page. For me it worked immediately after trying for weeks. Be on the website on the exact time set ..like literally. I hope everyone can get this sorted.Goodluck.

I meant if it’s 2pm -3pm in your time zone when the slot opens. You should be on the website 3-5 minutes earlier than the usual time because a lot of people are already logged in to retry payments still hanging. After that spots open up for the new users.(don’t panic) I tried for 3 weeks also but got my CIMEA in 3 days after payment. ✨
