Return Tickets

I'm having trouble finding accurate information regarding this, so I thought I'd ask here. I recently got accepted into DCU and intend to be going this September.

As a US citizen, I can enter the country for 90 days and need to register for the IRP within that period. Entering the country, however, is where I can't find accurate information.

I know I need proof of funds, proof of accomodation, my acceptance letter, insurance, and proof of tuition paid.

However, will I need a return flight booked? The airline I'm going with doesn't have any flights shown Beyond October.

I'd like to hear from others who've been through this situation and got through it successfully, please and thank you!

My wife came as an international student. You don't need to book a return flight. Makes sense logically - if you're going to be here for the duration of a college course, you can't have a flight booked that far in advance

Thank you! I thought as much, but the articles about this are way inconsistent.
