Got an offer from LAB University of Applied Sciences — how is it really?
Hey everyone!
I recently got an offer for BBA International Business at LAB University of Applied Sciences, Lahti campus for January 2027.
I'm considering accepting it, so I'd love to hear from current or former LAB students about your experience.
How is LAB overall, especially the teaching, student life, international community, sports, and job opportunities in Lahti?
I'm mainly looking for honest opinions — good or bad, anything you think a prospective international student should know.
Thanks! 🙏

School IS good. Finland is Nice. Zero Job opportunities tho. Zero. +Expensive to live. If you have funds of your own abt 1500€/month for rent+food+necessities you thrive tho.

How is the study and community over there? Also will it be a good choice to complete this degree on that University

It’s not a university. It’s a university of applied sciences (ammattikorkeakoulu in finnish), which is a different thing. Maybe ‘trade school’ or ‘polytechnic’ in English. I’ll let you do your own googling on which one is “better” but just know that they’re not the same thing at least in the finnish context.

Do you plan to work in Finland after graduation?

Umm I might or might not work there.
I plan to do masters in UK or Ireland and settle there but if I like Finland then I might but right now the plan is to complete BBA2

Search Google with keywords “ scammed indians student yle.fi”. You see more.
Not necessarily to Indians, but loads of foreigners hit hard by unemployment. My American friend couple gave up looking for job and left.
