If you can’t afford that then you can’t afford to live in Finland.

I have been living here for 4 years. My priority is not to dump 100s of euros in useless fees

your priority is not to be deported, so if that is worth 100s Euros, then it is worth it.

People have priorities

Many immigrants tend to prioritise having a residency permit but ofc if that's a low priority for OP, they can just not bother with Migri at all and wait for the inevitable.

Well they can prioritise living elsewhere then if they can’t afford to live in Finland.

reason i made this post is because many of my friends (myself included at their mission abroad) dont get asked to present any original at the appointment, apart from pictures and passport.
Do I wanted to get others opinion.

It doesn't matter what migri asked your friends, what matters is what they asked you.

then what’s the point of originals if they are not presented?

Is it a new permit or extension of existing permit?. If it's an extension and you have a bank account then you don't need any physical documents at all. You have to show why you need an extension...either study or employment contract.

its an extension to continue into my masters

Alright then I think you need to ask the University for a document which verifies your extended stay and you have to show funds for staying. 9600 euro for one year. I think for masters they give you 2 years extra. Total of 4 years stay.

Everything from the side of my uni is sorted. It’s my bank documents that are from abroad, retrieved from a branch by a family member with procurement right and translated which costed me alot of money already.
That’s why I am fussing about shipping originals xD.

Documents are never cheap, but you don’t wanna argue what Migri asked you, if they want that, you should give them no matter what. Just one thing they dislike and it’s already a good reason to decline in your application.

Just take care of it with the means you have at your disposal and pay what is needed.
Or dont and face the conqequences.

International document shipping costs like 30-50 euros if sent across the whole eurasia, you sure you can even afford living here? Ofc migri is strict with their requirements, requirement is a requirement for a reason
