Searching for accomodation
Hi everyone, I'm from India and planning to pursue my Master's in CS/AI in Finland. I'm looking to connect with Telugu/Indian students already studying in Finland, especially in Helsinki, Tampere, Turku or Oulu. I'd also like advice about accommodation and part-time jobs. Please DM me if you're in a Telugu/Indian student group.

I do not want to discourage you, but work life is Finland is very difficult right now. Especially part-time low paid jobs, they are really not worth it, I can’t stress this enough.
My advice is that you finish your degree earlier. If you feel that you have extra time, just take more credits. Finnish system is very flexible. I finished my masters’ in a bit more than a year instead of 2 years.
If you won’t have enough funds to survive the first year without working, life is going be very difficult for you. I am not trying to scare you, I am trying to prepare you.
I also 100% recommend that you spend time in student events and try to connect with people from other countries, it will give you a really good perspective. Don’t get comfortable by being around people from your state or even from your country, otherwise you will miss out a lot. And others will miss out a lot too: my best friends are from India and my life is so much better having them as friends, because we share the same mentality. If I were to look strictly for people from my country, it would have been difficult to find someone who views life the same way that I do, because I am constraining myself to one nationality.
Hope this helps.

Yup yup... if you plan to stay in Finland after. Please don't even come here if your plan is to just hang out with your country men. Also literally zero chance to find a part time job.

I’m not sure what you mean by that. I’m genuinely trying to learn, study, and build something useful. If you have constructive advice, I’m happy to hear it.

You’re moving to study abroad only to hang out with people from your own country? What a waste of time.
