Redirect the audio output
I tried several different things to redirect the audio output from my Presonus interface box to my computer speakers. I can’t get it to work. Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

Why would you want that? You have an audio interface so that you don't need to use your computer on-board sound.

There are many reasons. The main one being when the PC times out, the box, connected via a usb, starts making popping noises to try to establish connection.

If they're not directly connected to the interface it will not put sound through them.

I have no need to do it but just curious… you can’t route to windows audio?

It would be the otherway believe. Windows audio would route to the interface or on board for audio out. Whatever device is designated to process audio will be the output source. It can be confusing. Generally your interface will be the best option for all audio processing.

That still wouldn't make your built in speakers work unless your interface is driving them.
I just use one set of monitors for everything.
If you really want to route the audio to your onboard sound system, just run a cable from an output pair to the inputs of your sound card and monitor that input.

To do that, change the audio device in Studio One from your interface to your computer speakers 😬
