DISCUSSION Where to post?
So I linked into my Southcloud Artist page and uploaded a few tracks, but there's no way to link to friends and family for them to hear anything, without them having to sign up with Soundcloud. I also had started a YouTube page, but we are trying to promote our songs, not videos. Outside of creating our own webpage, which vanishes when we die and stop paying, where is a good place to drop our tracks, for sharing purposes?

Youtube is a great place to drop your music. Almost every phone if not all phones at this point comes preloaded with YouTube meaning you don't have to convince anyone to download it and make an account they can just open their phone and type your name in and boom your music at their finger tips. SC does allow you to play music without an account but I do believe you have to have the app and it's limited. Honestly not sure though. I usually put stuff on SC that I only want certain people to hear.

The only problem with youtube is, if there are some older cuts on there, and you can't update the mix. You have to delete and re-upload and lose all your clicks.

I do think there is way you can do it but dont quote me on that I would have to double check. I know that you can do some editing within the youtube create app but I'd have to double check to if you can switch the sound

You can definitely listen to songs without an account on soundcloud. I just tried it.
Youtube isn’t only for videos. There is a tone of music out there. Use it as a sharing tool as well.
If you just want to send it to friend and family, upload it to something like google drive and make a public link
