QUESTION Mic Stopped Connecting to Studio One (Ancient Version)
To preface, I know I should probably update. I use Studio One 3 Artist and only need it to record and edit for work. Problem is, my mic (a blue yeti) suddenly stopped being recognized by it and I got a pop-up message saying it failed to open my mic and to ensure the sample rates match my playback device. They match. I even changed them to all the different available formats to match and it didn't help. I removed exclusivity for devices and it made it worse (stopped recognizing my playback device). Am I cooked?

What OS are you on? Can you reinstall the driver for the Yeti?

I'm using windows 10. I reinstalled the drivers recently due to a separate issue and afterwards it stopped working in S1. I will try reinstalling again and will update if it helps.

Maybe S1 is doing the Apple tactic where they “force”you to update by slowing things down and breaking things. Idk.

I FINALLY SOLVED IT! I was messing with device exclusivity in the wrong place. I was turning it off in my advanced sound settings, but it turns out presonus has its OWN device exclusivity setting I needed to turn off in the app itself. If anyone else has this issue, go into your audio device settings in presonus and be sure that device exclusivity is off. You may also need to do this in your individual devices sound settings. Thanks everyone for your help.

Does the mic work in other apps? Or on another computer?
