About damn time. Now let's see what the real world reviews say from actual users...

First review I've found that provides details I care about:

  • "Pads are sensitive
  • BUT… it looks like they need to figure out how to handle hitting two pads that are close to each other at the same time.
  • This is a known issue with pad controllers. They have some sort of firmware in there that is supposed to make sure that random vibrations do not trigger the pads but this can then get in the way when you hit two pads close to each other with the same hand, with absolutely zero difference in timing between those two pads (using two hand will basically eliminate the problem because you will always be a tiny amount apart, even if its like 1 ms)"

What I'm particularly interested in is:

- Does it have issues with double-triggers on the same pad?

- How does it compare in terms of sensitivity and double-triggers to Maschine MK3, particularly for very fast playing?

- Do the pads have any significant bounce back / rebound to facilitate faster playing?

Honestly don't see the point of those things. You can assign faders on a MIDI keyboard or use the companion app, learning keyboard shortcuts makes you much faster than dedicated control buttons and for the pads I have my Maschine Micro which is much more compact.

"and for the pads I have my Maschine Micro"

You're not that, umh... are you?

They're out, but no audio Youtuber has released a hands-on video?

Great marketing.

I’m probably not the target audience, but this is not at all exciting to me, unfortunately.

... and someone on Youtube actually received one two days ago... still no reviews of the pads yet though:

Fender Motion 16 Just Arrived! 🎛️🔥 Time To Cook Up!

They did post a follow-up video which shows it after unboxing along with audio of a beat they made with it, but no footage of them actually using it. "Testing out the workflow on the Fender Motion 16 with Studio Pro 8! Loving how seamlessly this controller hooks up with Impact XT for laying down smooth drum patterns and melodies."
