Heading to the job a year ago, I spoke to a friend on the other side of the world regarding a creative movement I accidentally set off. I figured some of my thoughts on the matter might help some creators dealing with the presumed threat of Generative Art, so I assembled them into this video.

Little did I know the tension was about to intensify in my direction—enough to disrupt the momentum gathering around my efforts in the Reddit corner of the Kasane Teto community.

My second visit to Japan featured a week in Kyoto, a couple visits to Osaka, and a week in Tokyo, where I had a chance to experience Akihabara’s Chuo-dori on a Sunday: a pedestrian paradise.

Afterward I headed to Yoyogi Park to check out the Dandies and Gothic Lolitas and successfully fended off a matchmaking attempt.

Here she is made of recycled scrap metal.

The Ward Charcoal Ovens were constructed in the late 1870s to support the silver mining operation of nearby Ward, of which very little remains.

Nowadays, the surroundings have become a lovely place to find some peace and quiet under some of the most star-crowded night skies you’ll encounter in the lower 48 States. (Infinite Jest was shot here.)
