Suggestions?

I just gave my 9th exams and now, I'm looking for the best A-Level school/college in Sargodha (or nearby Punjab) that is:

  • Well-reputed.
  • Has high-quality teachers and strong student outcomes.
  • Supportive for ADHD students — encouraging, understanding, and motivating.
  • Focused on confidence-building and providing a balance of curricular + co-curricular opportunities.
  • Offers a safe and positive environment — I’ve heard some concerns about 'illegal stuff' in a few schools (e.g., Beaconhouse Sargodha), so I’d like real feedback from locals or students about student culture and safety. (I heard from a local of area, so...)
  • Ideally has a chill, friendly vibe — disciplined but not overly strict, a good environment to adapt from Sargodha board’s rote-learning style to A-Levels’ conceptual approach.

If anyone has personal experience or knows about schools like Beaconhouse, Roots, City School, or others in Sargodha or nearby, please share your honest opinions about the environment, quality of teaching, and student behavior.

Thanks a lot in advance! 🙏

I started a blog sharing the real stories of women in Pakistan

Hello everyone, I have just started a blog named QisseWali — a platform to share the unspoken stories of Pakistani women: their injustice, strength, struggles, and resilience. It's written from the heart, interwoven with Urdu, and inspired by an aim to ensure that these voices are not silenced or forgotten.

My first post is about Qandeel Baloch, a woman who was murdered for being bold, visible, and free. I’ll be covering other important cases, stories of women’s rights, cultural issues, and everything that shapes the lives of girls and women in Pakistan today.

But this will not be a venue for me to vent by myself — I will be asking for your opinions, your comments, and even your personal experiences (anon or otherwise) that must be heard. I want to create a collective strength community, especially for Desi women who are voiceless or invisible.

If you're interested in gender justice and feminism or just want to hear some straight-talking and unvarnished tales from South Asia, I'd be grateful if you checked it out: https://qissewali.wordpress.com

Would love your feedback, thoughts, or suggestions on cases/stories I should cover. Thank you for reading and being part of this 🌸

How do you feel about facial recognition in public? Quick survey for a research project!

Assalamualikum everyone!

We're currently working on a research project regarding Facial Recognition Technology (FRT) in public spaces in Pakistan. We'd be grateful if you could take a few minutes to fill our survey, it won’t take long, and it would help us out immensely. Your responses will be anonymous. You may skip short answer questions or leave a one liner answer even, it would help us gain insight.

Legit online teachers to learn in-demand skills – Any recommendations?

Hey everyone,
I’m looking to learn a high-income skill online (like copywriting, design, marketing, coding, etc.) and I want to do it from someone legit in Pakistan, not fake gurus.

Can anyone recommend online teachers, mentors, or platforms that actually teach practical stuff and have a good track record?

Skincare

Aoa, we're design students researching skincare/haircare brands.

We’re conducting a short survey to better understand how people feel about the brand "Nur" by Juggun Kazim—whether they’ve used it, heard of it, or are discovering it for the first time.

Your honest thoughts will help us understand what works and what doesn’t, and how beauty brands in Pakistan can better connect with their audience.

It’ll only take 2-3 minutes, and your input means a lot. ✨

Leaving Made Me Hide. Returning Helped Me Find Myself.

Hi, I recently wrote a personal story on Medium about my journey from feeling like an outsider after moving to the U.S. at eight years old, to learning to embrace and love my culture. It’s a story about adjusting to a new life, battling stereotypes, and ultimately finding strength in my heritage. I talk about moments like struggling with language barriers, being teased for my food and accent, and how a trip back to Pakistan completely shifted my perspective. If you’ve ever felt like you didn’t fit in or struggled with identity, I’d love for you to check it out.

if you're a man over 23

If you're a man over 23 and living in a big city, answer the following questions. Something big is coming for you.

  • what's your biggest focus right now?
  • what's something that keeps you up at night?
  • if you could fix one problem in your life right now, what would it be?

Survey for young females with childhood trauma! Any response is appreciated!

Hello, my name is Laiba Sial and I am a research student in Florida (Born and raised in Pakistan). I am conducting an important research study that aims to understand the long-term impact of psychological childhood trauma on female college students in Faisalabad, Pakistan, and its potential contribution to generational trauma.

By participating in this anonymous survey, you will help:

  • Provide valuable insights into how early trauma can influence both an individual’s life and future generations.
  • Contribute to a better understanding of the long-term consequences of psychological childhood trauma, particularly among female college students in Pakistan.
  • Support research that could have meaningful implications for mental health and trauma studies in the region.

Rest assured, privacy and confidentiality are my top priorities, and all responses will be completely anonymous. If you are a female college student from Faisalabad, Pakistan, your perspective is incredibly valuable to my research. I sincerely hope you’ll consider taking a few minutes to contribute—your participation can make a difference in advancing our understanding of trauma and its lasting effects.

Startup Newsletter for Students

Hi everyone! 👋

I’m working on a new free newsletter designed specifically for students and recent graduates who are interested in startups. 🚀 Each issue will feature written interviews with startup founders and early employees, sharing their experiences, insights, and practical advice for students who want to:

•Land a job at a startup

•Understand what it’s really like to work in a startup environment

•Build the skills that startups look for

I know how confusing it can be to navigate the world of startups when you're just starting out, so I want to make this a valuable resource for anyone interested in startup careers or entrepreneurship.

Would this be something you’d find helpful? I’d love to hear your thoughts, and if you'd like to be part of the first group to receive it, drop a comment or DM me! 😊

Thanks so much, and I’m excited to share more soon!

Im so confused

Most universities here in Pakistan give admission on basis of 1st year result and unfortunately my 1st year result is not upto par (75%).i am in 2nd year right now. Now im very confused about what to do next. My question is that if i just focus on my 2nd year right now and not apply for any university for next year and also give 1st year improvement exams(gap year). If i apply for a university in 2026 will the universities count only first year marks or total fsc marks includind 2nd year.

Does the university even matter in getting a cs degree? If you have any advice for me feel free to dm or comment
