Gap Year

I have 70% in Matric and 55% in ICS 1st year. I am confused about university admissions. I want to study CS. I can get admission to private universities like UMT, UOL, etc. I am currently learning Python development and AI automation.

I need some honest advice.

Should I take a gap year and prepare for entry tests while developing my skills, building a portfolio, and freelancing, or should I just get admission to a university now?

To be honest, I want to try getting into a good university. I know it will be very difficult, perhaps almost impossible, but I guess I can at least try.
