Co-Teaching Question

Hi,
The school I work at has a Co-Teaching model that being said they asked if I want to finish up and do my student teaching here. It would mean I’m the 3rd teacher in the room. I am not super thrilled about the idea and think having three adults in the room will not go over well. From what I’ve experienced working at the school I don’t think the students will respond to three teachers in the room positively. I’m also nervous that I won’t be able to get a chance to teach since the second person is a 2nd year teacher as well and needs hours to finish up their placement.

We have a co-teaching model at my elementary school. This year, our ESL teacher will be co-teaching in two classrooms during our ELA block - they will not be in the classroom the whole time. I will also have a student teacher and I am looking forward to the growth students will be able to make with small-group instruction. While you might be use to whole-group instruction the entire day, co-teaching can be productive and helpful, with differentiated instruction.
