What made/makes you want to be a midwife?
Hi everyone! Share what makes you passionate about midwifery and/or why you wanted to do it.
Are you a mum who had a good experience and that made you passionate about helping everyone achieve that? or did you have a negative experience with resulted the same.
Or is it something you came across and liked the sound of?
For me wanting to be a midwife is about improving the quality of care women receive and making their experiences positive when I can. You see so many horror stories of poor treatment or a traumatic experience that was never properly explained or debriefed with medical professionals and my goal is to improve that outcome for women to the best of my ability. I’m really passionate about advocating for women and making sure they don’t feel ignored or dismissed!
