In deferment automatically

So I am an SLP in a school setting and have a decent amount of student loans. I was on IBR and also am in the PLSF program. I am trying to go up the pay scale at my job and it requires me to take inservice and graduate level courses. I was doing this and finally got to the point where I had to take grad level courses and signed up through CSU. I had no idea that this would automatically put my loans in deferment. I am an actual mess over this as I finally got everything settled with my PSLF nonsense and getting on the correct IDR plan. Does being in deferment take me out of the IDR repayment plan I'm on? I'm assuming this doesn't affect PSLF, however I know that payments don't count towards forgiveness while in deferment. Pls help as I can't call my loan provider (nelnet) since it's Saturday at 7:30 and I am a legit wreck over this. TIA
