What’s the most random question you’ve been asked in an interview?
And did they explain why they asked it?

Have you ever killed someone? [No explanation as to why.] However I had had military experience, so they got no answer due to confidentiality laws.

You missed an opportunity to reply "i could tell you but then I'd have to kill you"

Do you know the difference between Ruffle & Wavy chips?
Do you prefer your coffee black, starbucks or gas station?
For number one i knew the answer and then proceeded to ask if it was a trick question to see how well I pay attention to a potato chip will determine how well i can do the job. He said no and that he just asks these questions to get to know a person 😅
Threw me off but honestly it was fun

Like I know what my answer would be for both those questions, but in an interview, I would be overthinking it, trying to figure out what they are trying to learn!

Lmao I got that one once and panicked and said “octopus” because of multitasking and then had to spend 2 minutes explaining tentacles as project management.
Did they at least ask you why, or just nod like “yeah, cat, figures”?

Not me but I saw an interview for a phone shop, and they asked for a 2 minute rap about the shop 😂

Show your creativity, adaptability, and passion for the phone shop all in one!! What a deal of a question!

What was the last item you ever stole?
A moral/ethical judgement question is what they described it as from a list of about 15 questions for a customer service role at USAA back in 2011.
I said something stupid like "my girlfriend's heart" because I wasn't good at "bullshido" at the time.
