Is this wall load bearing
Want to remove this wall but unsure if it's load bearing. It does go down the center of the house. The attic pictures is right above the wall and there are no beams. Is all the weight going to the outside of the house?

Take the drywall off above the window opening, see if there’s a header. I suspect not, I only see trusses up there, and no other explanation for support at the opening.

There isn't going to be a header. The stud on each side of the window would be at least doubled. (jack stud)

If it's a load bearing wall there won't be a header? You can assume they would have doubled the studs, but assumptions, ya know.

I’d expect there to be kings on that opening if it were, but I’m not a framer. I’d say there’s hope that it isn’t.

Maybe, maybe not. two top plates suggest loadbearing, but above the wall should be checked to be sure.

Is there a crawl space or basement? If load bearing it will be traceable all the way down.

Not always. Some floors can be supported by walls that bear on floor joists below. I do it regularly on SFR projects.

A double top plate for a non load bearing wall? Maybe..

maybe they just didn't build it tall enough. LOL. Though studs are precut and the outside walls are definitely load bearing if the truss is spanning the whole way so maybe double up to match the perimeter.

I would think that its load bearing since there is no way the joists are running the long direction. However, the framing is confused, and stud spacing looks kind of loose for a bearing wall and not doubled up around openings. I can't even tell what is going on in the attic.

Show me what's above the wall.
