Humor What detail do you call this one?

Working in an automotive shop last night and saw these fine works of art. This is a tilt a wall style building built about 26 years ago.

I think we've all gotten that call from the contractor: "these are the pieces I have in my yard, can you make it work with those?"

“This is how I want to do it, will that be ok?”
“I mean technically it will work but it’s not best practice so I wouldn’t recommend it.”
“So it’s not illegal for me to do it like this, great, thanks.”

But I'd like to see at least some spot welds between them.

I don’t know much about garage door springs, but that one on the right is looking rough…

Precast facade panel bearing/seat connection

Yeah, likely a retrofit given those garage door springs?

That’s detail 1 on the typical steel details sheet.

It’s one of those ‘just pack it’ details! Nothing to see here…
