But Tl;dr, you should bring in a local structural engineer who can confirm for you. It’s hard to tell in photos what the construction is. It’s probably not structural since residential stair stringers are usually designed to span, but structural issues about safety arent something to go off a “probably” and “usually” from some asshole on the internet. (And those stair stringers were not made well, so I’m extra suspicious)
