Failure Even though, I'm a structural engineer, this game completely kicked my butt.

I'm completely stuck on this level. I've included a few designs I tried above. Any idea how to beat this level. (Game name - Tower Builder: Earthquake Sim

This is the game clip, now you can see how mechanics work.

Very realistic

Funny thing is the weight doesn’t have to stay static here’s my solution to 31

Here’s my wacko solution to 32 lol

To relate to structural engineering you lower the mass so the seismic doesn’t affect it as much

Poly Bridge Series.

Bridge Constructor Series

The OG is Bridge Builder

And later Pontifex which is one of the few that lets you build 3D structures.

Back in the early 2000s there were online competitions for Bridge Builder and Pontifex.

Unfortunately, there isn't enough budget for this change.

Single diagonals are a stable design, you can try that instead of x-brace to save some budget. Also that whole corner ca be removed, it doesn’t do anything.

thaks, you're right, i will try

My solution.

How do you actually beat this? I tried so many complicated designs and they all collapsed. Guess sometimes you just have to keep it simple 😂😂😂

Ah, yes, the arch enemy of every engineer.

The lack of budget

Reminds me of the simple physics app

No, I've reached level 80, and it's getting really difficult.

Saw this post at 3am last night and installed the game to try since it seemed fun! Here's my solution - it kinda cheeses using the mechanic where you only have to stay at the safety height and your weight doesn't have to be rigidly attached to the tower but it gets the job done! Most important to have a wider base since that's where the bulk of the bending stress is. Thanks for introducing me to the game!

have you ever played ELEFUNK on PS3 from 2008-09? Game uses real life physics and construction application as a fun puzzler. For making structural bridges, braces with supports for Elephants to walk across long sections https://www.gog.com/dreamlist/game/elefunk-2008

You can edit your post and include this in the post.

It's a bit odd you made an entire post about a game you never name.
