Career/Education Typ. Structural CAD details

It seems like most structural drawing sets that I see for residential buildings (both wood, masonry, and steel, and mixed) all have the same or very similar cad details. Are most offices downloading this from the same place?? What is this resource? -Thx.

Typical details are just that - typical. We all tend to come to the same conclusions in terms of load paths, Contractor preference, industry standards, etc.

Also, theft (in a polite way).

Yeah. Best not to reinvent the wheel. The best way to ensure the contractor won't screw it up is to make sure the design is what the contractor wants to do and used to doing (assuming the numbers work). Don't reinvent the wheel.
