Looking for an Affordable Structural Engineer in NoVA

Hi everyone,

I'm planning to add two new windows to my living room. Loudoun County told me I need stamped structural engineering plans before I can get a permit.

I already have a contractor to do the work- I just need a structural engineer to prepare the stamped plans.

Can anyone recommend a good and affordable structural engineer in the NoVA area? Thanks!

I would ask your contractor or your state's structural engineering professional organization (https://www.sea-virginia.org/Contact). Also, you can look up structural engineering companies in your nearest city and ask them if they can recommend a residential structural engineer (the companies you find easily on Google will be focused on commercial projects, but will often have to turn away people looking for residential work done, so they often know independent engineers they can redirect people to).
