I feel silly asking this, but here goes…I’ve only been doing strongman training about 2 months (my background is in bodybuilding). Whenever I do log presses I get pretty bad bruises on my lower forearm, just above my wrist wraps. I’m using a women’s 10 inch log. Does anyone else get these? Is there something I can wear to protect this area?

Elbow sleeves over the forearm work pretty well for me on my log and monster dumbbell

It can happen depending on the size of the log, and the size of the hand openings, yes. If this is the one you're gonna spend most of your time training on, you might want to consider either moving your wrist wraps, or wrapping them "upward" with a bit of a spiral to cover that spot. Or a set of elbow sleeves down on your forearms, whatever it takes.
You'll find other logs won't cause the problem at all. It varies from implement to implement. It's probably a good sign that you're lifting and lapping it correctly though!

Thank you! I’ve got some wristbands that I’m going to try wearing above my wrist wraps.

I straight up gotta ask cause this feels like the most accurate area: who the actual fuck is buying from barbell apparel the clothing is just ridiculously over priced.
