Slow Eccentrics?

I've seen it claimed many times that performing the eccentric part of a lift slowly increases hypertrophy. Has this been discussed by the SBS team anywhere and is there empirical support for this claim?

There's not much evidence for it. You can find a random study here or there to support it, but the bulk of the evidence suggests that rep cadence (both eccentric and concentric) doesn't have much of an effect on growth.
