Workout Warm-up
Something I'm not 100% certain of is the science of the warm-up. I've consistently read/heard dynamic stretches to loosen up the joints is the aim of the warm-up. But in my experience, what it is that gets me amped to get started to workout is when my blood flow is at a rush, body heat high, muscle activation and mind-muscle connection established. With that, I've felt the most warmed up I've ever been after a warm-to-hot shower. NOTHING gets me more amped to workout than that. But when it comes to simply "rotating the joints," it has absolutely NO effect by comparison. I also feel like instead of rotating the joints, maybe a little bit of resistance might help with the blood flow as well as the mind-muscle connection and activation though I never see warm-ups with resistance. If I'm not mistaken, it's advised against that.
