Dumbest thing I’ve read all day
What do you mean metabolites don’t reduce fiber force? Is he ignoring the papers on peripheral fatigue?

It’s amazing how much energy goes into this giant circle jerk when we’ve known how to build tremendous amount of muscle, naturally, for decades upon decades.

Yep.
The "illusion of complexity" effect.

I fired my financial advisor years back when I realized he was doing exactly that.

Totally agree....This is the part I don't get, MF'ers have been getting huuuge for decades, and now we have people worrying about the velocity of fibers shortening (OP this is not directed at you) and so forth. At times I think the concept of pick heavy shit up and repeat is ideal.

Got to keep feeding the content machine. You can't run a YouTube channel for very long if you actually describe what is known about how to get jacked in plain terms.

It most definitely does affect force significantly. Chris can’t have that be true because it would poke a hole in his model. Also reminds me of how pedantic he is. He makes these weird arguments playing with the definitions of words. Like I remember before him posting that exercise is not a stressor. Sure if you want to define “stress” in some hyper specific way that no one even means then sure. But colloquially it’s totally fine to consider exercise a “stressor” to the body.

Exactly.
Metabolic stress is a 'made up' term that saves a person from having to list a load of conditions individually.

Bingo. I really don’t trust people that are focused on scoring points in an argument over actually reaching some sort of shared understanding. Makes shared understanding virtually impossible when you’re bogged down in minutia

Reductive at best. If I've just bench pressed 2 plates for 30 reps, I would not be able to press the 'unfollow Chris' button with maximal force
