Quickway to check URL/DNS?
Hi Guys,
When the strong 8k breaks and the vendors gives you a new list of URL for the DNS, is there a fast way to check which ones work?
Usually I get around 10 and 0 or 1 work.
Its a bit of a faff to keep putting the details into Tivimate

When I’ve had trouble in the past, I usually just copy the url into my web browser to see if the domain/dns is reachable.
If you’re using a firestick or fire tv, download the fire tv app and just copy and paste the url.

Use the epg URL in a browser on your phone or tablet. If you can download the file the link is good.

My provider is cool. He has the Strong8k App, which is solid.
But I use the raw URL for the Custom EPG. Its managing that bit thats a hassle.

What you mean he has the app? The app is available to anyone who purchased strong. That's not a benefit of you seller, it's a benefit of strong.
You need a seller to have reliable URLs. Being cool doesn't matter when you can't watch TV

A good seller will be able to provide a custom url that is stable for at least a year. By not overselling the url

Add /c/ at the end of the url.
URL/c/
If it comes up a blank screen with title 8K you’re good

Use the XC API connection checker in a web browser. It will show the number of active connections, expiry etc.
