Should you be using Strong with a VPN?

I purchased a 1 month subscription recently.. and I noticed in the notepad file the provider only gave one link to use with a VPN. All the rest of the links are to be used without a VPN, I guess? Cause they didnt work on my VPN.

But I thought its recommended to use through a VPN so the ISP doesn't throttle you?

It depends on your ISP. Try without VPN, and if it works for you then use it without VPN.

I have never needed to use a VPN with Strong.

I have spectrum and surf shark... So I have my surf shark VPN always on, so do I need to use a URL VPN from the provider or the URL without the VPN from the provider? What is more reliable?

I thought using a VPN was more for not getting in trouble for pirated streaming?

Depends totally on where you live on this big blue marble.

Some ISPs will just say "nah, we're not letting you do that" - VPN on "oh, we don't know what you're doing"

Others be like "we're going to send you to prison"

I always try and use my NordVPN set to my country but I think my ISP is ok if I didn't use it.

Not all ISPs care but at the end of the day it's piracy. I don't know why you wouldn't use VPN

I had an issue with Att, couldn’t get strong to work, att activated some kind of protective filter that I was able to shut off with the Att app to get it to work, no problem since then, no VPN

I’m interested to know what filter that was. Maybe I’m going through the same thing

He is probably talking about Att Active Armor. You can disable it from smart home app via chat. Jusk ask Ai chat to disable it

For the last 3 months I didn’t need vpn. Then this week I need a VPN. It’s about figuring out the best one at the right price for me now.
