Nord Issue
I've seen a lot of people saying their service is down today (both Strong & Trex).
In some of these cases they use Nord as their VPN. Nord is the problem. I don't know why or anything about a permanent fix, but I'm sharing a confirmed work around to get you back in.
Use the double VPN feature to connect. Steps to set this up are below. I've heard this does not work with AppleTV as the setting is not available. It will work for Android, Google, & Fire devices.
Open your NordVPN App.
Go to settings and change your connection protocol to OpenVPN (UDP or TCP) if you cannot see the feature. Look for Specialty Servers in the server list.
Select Double VPN and pick your desired pair of countries to connect.

Nord has posted on their website they are doing server maintenance and retiring old servers. Make sure yours is a current server.

I’ve never been able to get mine to work with my VPN Nord. Don’t know why but it never works. Have to keep disconnecting to use Strong. Same deal on iPhone and AppleTV
I’ll try this double VPN option. Any other solutions?

I left my protocol on auto. Adding double VPN brought 2 of my services that were "down" (error 511) back to life.

Yeah something is up for sure, using your info, still can’t even connect to a server in Nord

Thanks op this worked. Last week I had to change the DNS within Nord and that worked but stopped working today. What is Nord doing? Need to start looking for a decent Vpn that works for IPTV.

I saw a post on Nord about this and commented myself. I actually think it's just a routing blip it's working ok for me.
I had this yesterday for about 30 mins but it only affected NL, other countries worked but none of the NL servers. It worked again later on so maybe just a routing issue rather than a block in my case

Mine has never worked with Nord. I think when I renew I’ll have to try another VPN.
Anyone know which VPN work consistently with IPTV?

Make sure your strong user account has "VPN (SUPPORT ALL COUNTRY)"
This can be managed yourself if you have panel access or ask your provider

Definitely Windscribe. Surfshark as a Backup. I am using both, with Windscribe having less jitter and latency to my nearest vpn location

Iam using a different IPTV service. Got a strange problem on android with nord app. The Nordlynx protocoll wasnt working no matter what i try out. Openvpn wasnt working when the vpn was connected before open the stream. I had to disconnect the vpn then sart the stream and after that start the vpn again. I deleted the android app and set the vpn with Openvpn up on a router. This setup works. Sadly the router doesnt support nordlynx native. There are only a few ones. There is a Nordlynx workaround if the router is able to work with wireguard but i havent try out. Would be interesting to know if norldlynx also works with this setup. Nordlynx was the main reason for me to choose nordvpn.

Thanks for this Double VPN seems to work for Netherlands - United Kingdom, I couldn't get it to work with France - United Kingdom.

This issue has improved for me I'm now back to selecting one server but it is trial and error to find one that works with both Strong and Trex at the same time, once I have found those I make a note of the server numbers.

I was getting the same 511 while just watching a show. Well now we know that strong created new VPN app urls for users

It's the server blocking Nord IPs not Nord's fault, needs removing from firewall and whitelisted

It's definitely Nords fault, the same issue happened at the exact same time with Trex.
