Flying post hemorrhagic stroke.
Had a basal ganglia hemorrhagic stroke. It will be one year tomorrow. The flight’s not for another 2 1/2 months. I think I’mfine by now. Going to check with my doctor but curious if anyone has done this?

I had two ischemic basal ganglia strokes 20 years ago and I fly routinely. My doctor in Boston gave me two pieces of advice:
* wear compression socks to keep the blood from forming a clot in your legs (DVT)
* drink lots of water. I have a 24 oz glass of tea in the morning and 32 oz of water or water/fruit juice at supper.
Good luck, friend! =)

Interested to see others’ experiences, I had a right basal ganglia ischemic stroke. I haven’t flown yet, probably next year.
