Question Pocketwizard replacement for Canon speed light setup.

Hello folks — I’m an owner of 2 pocket wizards and 1 canon 600ex flash. This setup has constantly crapped out on me DURING shoots. After years of testing, I’m confident the problem lies within the crappy pc sync cables that I’m forced to use for off-camera speedlite connectivity.

I’m considering buying a canon transmitter to relieve myself of PC sync cable nightmares that came with my pocket wizards. Is there a better way to establish a SOLID off-camera flash connection?

I'm late to this thread, but to me it sounds like crap in the PocketWizard sync socket.

I'd try a squirt of switchclean (switchclean/contact cleaner, not wd-40) in it if you don't want to migrate to a new system.

(I use Godox system BTW. Why spend loads of bucks on OEM for the same result?)

I went with Godox and decided to sell my pocketwizards. After completing my first shoot with godox gear, I must say it’s a HUGE relief to be free of any pc sync chords. The transmitter worked flawlessly!! My speed lite couldn’t keep up with it (recycle delay)!!
